Anthropology and Geography
Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

Dr. Mark Moritz is looking for a volunteer (academic credit possible) 8 hours per week to work with a GIS database and do spatial analysis of pastoral mobility.  The goal of the project is to understand who mobile pastoralists in the Far North use grazing lands in the Logone floodplain of Cameroon using collected GPS and survey data from 110 pastoral camps.  The student researcher will manage and analyze the data.  GIS knowledge required.  This research has the potential to lead to a presentation at an undergraduate research forum.  Qualified candidates should contact Dr. Moritz by email at moritz.42@osu.edu and indicate which GIS courses you have taken and whether you have any practical GIS experience.
