Opportunities in Genomics Research

The Genome Center at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking strong applicants for a host of programs, Opportunities in Genomics Research (OGR). We have two OGR programs that may be of interest to you, Undergraduate Scholars and Extensive Study.
Undergraduate Scholars, is an eight-week summer program where students conduct research with investigators in the department of genetics or with other investigators on campus. Also eligible students are invited to return subsequent summers. Extensive Study is a one-year post-baccalaureate program for recent college graduates, where students work at our world-class center.
Both programs include activities such as: GRE prep, journal club, seminars and career workshops. We provide a great stipend/salary, housing (summer program only), and travel to St. Louis and other benefits.
Eligibility requirements are:
* Rising sophomore, junior or senior at a four-year institution (Undergraduate scholars); BA/BS (Extensive study)
* Major in STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)
* Strong desire to pursue a Ph.D. in STEM
* US Citizen/Permanent Resident
* Competitive science and overall GPA
