ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Glenn-Stokes Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Internship.

  • Must be an undergraduate student enrolled at any one of the fifteen member institutions. Students enrolled in any community college in the state of Ohio and planning to transfer to an Alliance institution are eligible to apply;
  • The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, targets underrepresented minority students (African American, Hispanic, American Indian, Pacific Islander, or Puerto Rican). However, other students are also eligible to apply.
  • Must have declared a major in one of the STEM Fields;
  • Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (students with a 2.5 GPA or above will be considered by several of the participating institutions);
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident (immigrant);
  • International students are not eligible.
