In addition, Stroble has secured grants for her own scholarship, school-university partnerships and teacher-enhancement activities from national professional organizations, government agencies, foundations, and corporations. Her research has appeared in papers and publications focused on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her co-edited book “Multiple Literacies for the 21 st Century” was published in 2004.

Prior to coming to Akron, Stroble was the associate dean and a professor of the school of education at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY starting in 1995. While there, Stroble also oversaw two school wide centers and directed assessment and distance education initiatives. Stroble serves on the board of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and was an on-site host for board examiners training of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education in 2003. While dean of UA’s College of Education, Stroble helped establish interdisciplinary collaborations, such as the Center for Collaboration and Inquiry, the Muehlstein Academy for Mathematics and Science, and the Center for Literacy. She oversaw the college’s review by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. The outcome of the review was so positive that the college has become a national model.
