Judith Gwathmey is the founder, CEO/President and Chief Scientific Officer of Gwathmey, Inc. Dr. Gwathmey holds academic titles of Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical Center and Department of Medicine, Senior Lecturer at Harvard Medical School and was formerly Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Gwathmey has a B.A. and V.M.D. (veterinary medical degree with honors) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in veterinary physiology, pharmacology and toxicology. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (F.A.C.C.) and the American Heart Association (F.A.H.A.). Dr. Gwathmey is the recipient of numerous awards for her contributions to science, academia and the community.

With Dr. Gwathmey's background in integrative and translational physiology, pharmacology, and toxicology, she quickly established her ability to move between other areas of science with a working knowledge of the biological systems and the problems involved. Her collaboration and affiliation with her Scientific Advisory Team and leading medical centers has allowed her great flexibility for incorporating a range of expertise in the company that can benefit many areas of investigative and consultation needs.
Over a period of thirteen years, Dr. Gwathmey has published over 160 papers and holds two patents. Dr. Gwathmey's training in pharmacology, integrated physiology, and veterinary medicine inspired her to establish a company to allow pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to utilize her services, expertise, and networking capabilities to test and develop their drugs, compounds, and devices.
