Academic Support Programs
First Year Experience
During their first quarter at Ohio State, first
year student have the opportunity to attend special lectures, seminars,
and events that complement their one credit hour survey course. These
programs, available to first-year students all year long, address common
issues they may face in as they transition to university life at Ohio
State.
The topics for the 2004-05 Success Series revolve around eight themes:
Academic Engagement and Exploration; Financial Awareness; Leadership;
Drug, and Alcohol Use; Celebrating Diversity; Safe Sex; Physical Health
and Wellness; and Anxiety and Mental Health. If you have questions
about personal health and wellness, safety, friendship, finances, or
the excitement and challenges of university life, these are the events
for you!

The mission of the Academic Learning Lab
is to provide students of all backgrounds with strategies for college
success that will enable them to enter, excel in, and complete programs
of postsecondary education; and to accomplish this by applying our
expertise in education, psychology, instruction, and technology to
