POSTED 3.24.07
Should you be considering graduate school? Are you interested in using your engineering knowledge and skills to make a difference in people’s lives? If so, take a look at the Industrial & Systems Engineering program at The Ohio State University.
We offer students the opportunity to earn a Mater’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering specializing in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics. Learning experiences include course work, research activities, an applied practicum, and internships.
A limited number of students in the program receive financial support, consisting of tuition, health insurance, and a monthly stipend.
Ohio State University is an ideal place to prepare engineers to work in the area of safety and ergonomics. OSU is one of the top 10 public research universities in the country, based on rankings posted by the National Science Foundation in August 2005. This means that at students have opportunities to learn from and interact with some of the best teachers and researchers in the country.
For many years, Ohio State has housed one of the strongest human factors and ergonomics programs in the country. The program was one of the first to be accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Now we are expanding our programmatic offering to create a program that offers a balance of Human Factors/Ergonomics and Safety. In this expanded program, students interact with faculty from several departments within OSU and numerous expert practitioners in the Central Ohio area.
